The Bahrain Bayan School Model United Nations (BayMUN) is the first MUN conference to be affiliated with The Hague International Model United Nations (THIMUN). The conference has united more than 550 students, locally and internationally. BayMUN is a student-oriented initiative that began in 2008.
The conference was held under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa the Minister of Foreign Affairs for three years. The annual eleventh BayMUN conference will be held under the patronage of H.E. Shaikha Haya Rashed Al Kahlifa, Chairperson - Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution, as it has been for the past two years.
Annually, ambassadors and ministers join an open debate in the Concluding Dinner to discuss the successful resolutions with the student delegates.
This year’s prestigious event will be held on the Bahrain Bayan School campus on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th November, 2018. The delegates will be tackling the important issues that revolve around the impact of technology on creativity and innovation.
