Accreditation From MSA, IBO, Ministry of Education

MSA

Bahrain Bayan School is accredited through The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, MSA is a voluntary, peer-based, non-profit association, dedicated to educational excellence and improvement through peer evaluation and accreditation in the Mid-Atlantic United States. It is one of six regional accrediting organizations for higher education institutions recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the United States Department of Education.

IBO

Bayan School is also authorized by the IBO to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program to students in Grades 11 and 12.

Ministry of Education Requirements

Bahrain Bayan School offers Arabic, Citizenship, and Islamic Studies following the prescribed Ministry of Education curricular requirements from Grades 1 through 12.

 

Maintaining the Bilingual Environment

In an effort to maintain the bilingual environment, Bahrain Bayan School offers instruction in Arabic and English from KG1 through Grade 12. The program is structured differently in each division. In Pre-School, students receive alternating days of instruction in Arabic and English.  In Primary School, students receive instruction in a structure of half day in Arabic and half day in English. In Secondary School, students receive instruction in classes in Arabic and English throughout the day in a random pattern but with equal balanced instruction in both languages. The library also supports the bilingual environment by providing two complete collections in Arabic (holding approximately 17, 800 items) and English (holding approximately 20, 650 items).
